St. John’s biggest event is coming up, and we want you to be a part of it! Last year, contributions to the 26th Annual Gala & Auction helped us to fund our new STEM Lab and fill it with exciting new technology. 


This year, the event will be held on May 13, 2019. We expect have close to 400 attendees, as we have secured FLASH PANTS for the night's entertainment, and they draw quite a crowd - you DO NOT want to miss out!

Annual gala & auction FAQs

What is the Gala & Auction?

27 years ago, the parent volunteers of St. John’s Auxiliary created the Gala & Auction to support St. John’s Lutheran School and its students. This event is a very special evening to thank God for the blessing that is St. John’s Lutheran School, as well as to celebrate YOU, our parents, supporters, teachers, faculty and staff. Through Jesus Christ, we are forever linked in a desire to grow our school, our students and our ability to serve St. John’s and set the example for generations to come. 


The Annual Gala & Auction raises funds through silent and live auctions that directly benefit the students of St. John’s. This event would not happen without the many parents who serve to make the Gala proceeds a blessing to our school and most importantly, our students.



What are the proceeds going to support?

Outside of production costs (venue, auctioneer, entertainment), all Auction proceeds directly and fully benefit St. John’s students. Money raised will support our Fund-A-Need benefitting STEAM Education (Science, Technology, Education, Arts, and Math) and 1:1 Apple product implementation.



May I donate something for the Silent or Live Auction?

Yes please! Contact the Gala Co-Chairs above for donation and sponsorship information, or simply download the Sponsorship Form. We also accept donations through the Auction Family Campaign each March to gather silent and live auction items. Each year, our Room Parents designate a person to take the lead on a class auction item, but there is no limit to how many items a class may offer. You can donate to build a basket of items, or donate travel items (airline miles, vacation properties, hotel stays), designer merchandise, electronics, wine, theater tickets & packages, game tickets & memorabilia, gift cards through our Scrip Program, exclusive experiences or other excursions to offer as stand-alone auction items. If you have a business that would like to donate, please contact our Gala Co-Chairs at the above emails.



How can I help?

We have Team Leaders heading up Sponsorship, Operations (day of the event), Opportunity Ticket Sales, Silent & Live Auction Items, Marketing, and Wine Donation Committees. Contact us to serve on one of these amazing teams! There are major PIP Hour benefits for each committee. There is no job too big or too small with the Gala. Every person is a valued part of the team!



I need the PIP Hours, can I do work at home?

Absolutely! We have sponsor packets, donation receipts, and Gala invitations that will need to be prepped for mailing. This is the perfect job for working parents to do after the kiddos go to sleep. We give you everything you need, you assemble the pieces, return them to the school office, and we mail them out. We also have donated items and packages that will need to be entered into BidPal, our online bidding system. Please contact the Auction Chair for more information.
