<strong>St. John’s “Fashion Week”</strong>

Fashion Week is a month-long event within the fashion industry where fashion designers or fashion “houses” release their latest collections to the public. This event occurs twice a year- in September and in February. The Fall, or September shows release lines or collections for the following spring, whereas the Spring or February shows release collections for the following Fall. 

St. John’s Fashion students, by researching past and present fads, created Storyboards predicting the next look for Spring 2023. Predictions ranged from traditional spring themes of butterflies and flowers (with a unique 3-dimensional twist), to Barbie, Quinceaneras and inspiration from simple nostalgia: a theme of Peanut Butter and Jelly- which brilliantly pairs the warm and cool colors of spring and summer. Natural fabrics were also a favorite choice as fashion sustainability becomes a new norm in the fashion industry.
