My Teacher’s Halloween Costume

Each year the 5th graders complete a writing activity in which they choose what they think their teacher should be for Halloween. This is a great activity to help students strengthen their writing skills and to practice using persuasive language. The students also get to use their creativity as they create costume ideas that they feel truly reflect their teacher’s personality. This project was originally created by a 5th grade teacher named Nancy Chung and adapted for our classroom.
