Middle School Chess!

Our Chess Elective is buzzing with energy! So far, students have been busy mastering piece coordination and solving tricky tactical puzzles. It’s been inspiring to see them embrace the challenge, finding genuine excitement in friendly matches as they sharpen their critical thinking skills together. Soon we will be learning about chess openings and how to better develop their pieces at the start of the game. By the end of the year, students will be able to identify checkmate patterns, openings, and explain the importance of historic Chess Grandmasters!
