Lead with LOVE
I have the privilege to lead a middle school elective called, “Lead with Love”. This class teaches students about the importance of serving others in love as Christ did.
A project that the students produced this year was to make “Kindness Bags”. The idea of the Kindness Bags was to create a bag full of necessities that a homeless individual could benefit from. The bag would then be kept in a person’s car and passed out to someone in need.
Students in the elective determined what should be in each bag and then put the goal out to the middle school classes.
The outpouring of generosity was amazing!
Each middle school class donated specific items for the bags. Money from our TGIF in April was donated to our cause. Furthermore, 300 New Testament Bibles were donated for our bags!
Once all the supplies were collected, our elective assembled all the bags. Over 300 bags were made! Each student and teacher in the middle school department took home at least one bag to deliver to someone in need. What an amazing God we have!
My prayer is that these bags bless many people in our community and beyond.
