Hark, the children sing! Orange Tree Lighting Ceremony 2022

The St. John’s third and fifth grade classes participated in the City of Orange 28th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, December 4, 2022. This event takes place in the Plaza each year as the city Christmas tree is officially lit. Over 5,000 people attended the ceremony and our school was once again invited to be a part of the festivities. 

Our students sang four different CHRISTmas songs, each proclaiming the story of Jesus’ birth. Students rehearsed for two months to sing contemporary versions of traditional favorites like Hark! The Harold Angels Sing and Go, Tell It On The Mountain. It was a blessing for our students to have the opportunity to sing praises to God. These young people were able to share the Good News of the ultimate Christmas gift, God giving us His Son to die for the forgiveness of our sins.
