Going on a Leaf Hunt

My kindergarten class had a fun outdoor adventure last week. We wanted to use our sense to explore the changes of Autumn around us. We first read the book Going on a Leaf Hunt written by Steve Metzger and then decided to go on a leaf hunt of our very own. We searched high and low for some of the biggest, smallest, and most beautiful leaves on campus. When we returned back to the classroom, we had fun observing and sharing the different sizes, shapes, and colors of all the wonderful leaves we collected. To finish it off just right, we made some beautiful leaf rub prints to help us remember our leaves forever.
