Beginning with the Basics!

In Elementary P.E., students are beginning the school year off with the basics. Students in kindergarten to 2nd grade are reviewing basic locomotor and cooperative skills while students in 3rd to 5th grade are involved in various cooperative and teamwork activities. 

In the top left image, 2nd grade students are rushing to fit inside their nearest hula hoop in the game “Musical Hoops.” Similar to musical chairs, when the music stops playing, students must work together to fit inside one hula hoop. In the top right and bottom images, 4th grade students are playing the game “Partner Call” in which two students must find each other across the gym while blindfolded by calling out the same word.
