Time to Teach!
Mrs. Fink’s Class has been working on our “Time to Teach” Projects as we wrap up the school year. The first step in the project is that the students get to collaborate with their teacher on a good research topic. The goal is to pick something that teaches the class something new and they get to share their knowledge on a topic! Students then take information and research and create a presentation to teach to the class. Students make quizzes and activities to help students stay engaged with their topics!
Some topics we have covered so far: Dogs, the Titanic, Fingerprints, Music Boxes, Knott’s Berry Farm, Rare Minerals, Unique Sea Creatures, Cats, Monarch Butterflies, Sea Otters, NFL Players...just to name a few!
Even last week we had two of our Pastors at St. John’s – Pastor Tim and Vicar Micah come and have their own “Time to Teach” answering questions that we had about the Bible!
It’s been so amazing to learn about new things that are specific and unique to our students!
Our phrase before someone starts their presentation is “It’s their time to teach, so it’s our time to listen!”
