Spring semester in Yearbook

Yearbook is a year-long elective offered exclusively to 8th grade students. Being part of the Yearbook team is a great deal more than just a typical elective class, it is similar to an internship. The class begins by experimenting with photos and layouts. Students then create a “pitch” for the Yearbook theme.

Once the theme is decided upon, they become experts in programs such as Canva and Lifetouch, explore areas in design and photography, and begin creating. Currently, we have students taking photos, editing and enhancing photos, uploading photos, creating layouts and backgrounds, creating yearbook pages, developing personalized stickers to match each class and theme, and designing the front and back cover. Our yearbook team is hardworking and self-motivated! With final deadlines looming, there is always a great deal to work on.
