Sacramento Bound!

Fourth graders had the unique experience of flying to Sacramento, visiting the state capitol, and learning about the Gold Rush through hands on experiences. Students toured the capitol, got to visit the Vietnam Memorial, Firefighters Memorial and see the original Sutter’s Fort! There’s nothing like packing a wagon for the long journey across country and making a poke pouch to store your loot. Many struck it rich as they panned for gold near the American River where James Marshall found the first nugget in 1848! The 4^th graders had a blast in Sacramento!
