Royal Readers - A 2nd Grade Tradition

If you ever see a royally dressed king or a queen on St. John's campus, they're probably on their way to a 2nd grade classroom.   Royal Readers is a very special tradition for our 2nd graders, as parents and special guests have the opportunity to share their love of reading with our kids.   Our royal guests may choose to share a story or two that is popular in their own castle or kingdom.  Some will choose a book that was once one of their own childhood favorites.  Some chosen stories are filled with crazy and interesting facts, while other stories are performed by the king or queen with great expression and even different voices.  Every royal visit is unique, however, as we get to enjoy some great books and even the chance to ask questions about their stories and kingdom.
