Read Across America

First grade had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss’ Birthday for Read Across America Day. We transformed our classroom into a campsite…Camp Read-a-Lot! The students brought in their favorite books, stuffed animals, pillows, blankets, and a fitted sheet to turn their desks into tents. Each tent created a cozy reading spot for everyone to enjoy! We read books, used our iPads to read or listen to books on Epic!, played a Seuss-themed math game, and our Chapel Buddies even made a special appearance at the end of the school day to read with us. One of my students told me that it was the best day of his life!
