Pi Day Celebration

Every March 14^th, math enthusiasts around the world celebrate Pi Day, a day dedicated to the mathematical constant pi. For our middle school students, this day offered a fantastic opportunity to blend learning with creativity and delicious treats! We began our Pi Day celebration by reviewing that Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. We also investigated the history of pi and when it was first discovered. Next, the students got creative and worked on an art project in honor of Pi. No Pi Day celebration is complete without enjoying some delicious pie. We had many different flavors of pie for the students to enjoy!
