Novel Study: Cricket in Times Square

Fourth grade is wrapping up their novel study on “The Cricket in Times Square” by George Selden, and what better way than to build a real cricket cage for Chester!  Though the students had studied the design of pagodas, which was the inspiration for Chester’s cage in the book, the students were given access to a wide variety of materials and were given the creativity to make whatever kind of cage they wanted.  They came up with some clever designs and had a lot of fun too!
