Latin American and Spanish Food Festival- 8th Grade

A couple of weeks ago in Spanish class the 8th graders presented their projects for our traditional annual Latin American and Spanish food festival project. This tradition began with Señor Stone and now continues with Profesora Batarse. 

The students worked in groups and selected a Spanish speaking country to study. They chose which dishes they would prepare for the class. They worked together to prepare the dishes and brought them to Spanish class to share at our Latin American and Spanish Food Festival. 

The food was all delicious. 

Profesora Batarse tried all of it and thought it was fantastic! They were all so proud of their dishes! A couple of groups said they want to make it an annual tradition to get together with their group and cook new dishes. 

The students had the opportunity to learn about many Latin American countries’ interesting facts, culture and food. What a great way to end the year in Spanish class!
