Kindergartners visit Centennial Farm!

Learning about the plant cycle and animal characteristics in the classroom can be interesting, but the concepts become clear and memorable when you experience them in person.  This past week, Saint John’s kindergartners had this opportunity when they visited Centennial Farms.  The students learned about the four core needs of a plant while sewing radish seeds.  They learned about the physical needs of barn animals and held baby chicks.  Also, they observed the kindness of the farmer who directed a pair of oxen simply by using his voice.   Fun interactive lessons like this creates a love for learning!
