Hieroglyphics: Design, Engineering, 3D Printing!

6th Grade students have been learning all about Ancient Egypt, from Geography to the different Pharaohs. To end our unit, students practiced using hieroglyphics and wrote messages to each other. Once they were comfortable using the different letters and symbols, students got to create their own cartouche keychain that will be 3D printed for them. Using TinkerCad, students input the hieroglyphics letters to spell out their first names. They were able to pick if they wanted it to be raised or etched and how big it would be. Students had a lot of fun creating these keychains that will last a long time and always remember what they learned in Ancient History.
