From Glue to Goo: Our 6th Grade Slime Scientists
Our 6th grade scientists had a colorful, hands-on slime lab filled with stretchy fun and scientific discovery. Working with partners, students mixed glue, activator, and food coloring while observing how the ingredients changed from liquid to slime. They practiced the scientific method by asking questions, making predictions, testing ideas, recording observations, and drawing conclusions. Partners compared textures, solved problems, and adjusted their mixtures when the slime was too sticky or runny. By the end, students had colorful creations and a stronger understanding that science is all about exploring, observing, and learning from results.
