Catalina Island - God's Creation!

What an amazing time we had in Catalina! Seventh grade had the opportunity to go to a week-long science camp on Catalina Island the last week in September. Students learned all about God’s amazing creation through hands on labs and then applying it in snorkeling, kayaking, and hiking. Students learned about California’s marine life and microbial ecology along with the ecology of Catalina Island. In addition, many students had the privilege to see firsthand a brand-new ROV that will be used to explore the topography of the ocean floor around Catalina Island. They learned that the purpose of this exploration is to restore the beneficial kelp around the island. 

God’s creation is miraculous, and we are thankful for this opportunity!
