6th Grade Outdoor Education at Palomar
Our sixth graders spent three days in the mountains at Palomar, participating in hands-on outdoor classes that connected their learning to the world around them. Through Aquatics, Fire Science, Mammals, Ornithology, and Team Building, students explored new concepts, worked together to solve challenges, and discovered how their classroom knowledge applies in real environments. From observing wildlife to testing water samples, each activity encouraged students to think deeply, communicate effectively, and approach problems with creativity.
Outside of class sessions, students enjoyed zip-lining, campfire worship, and evening devotions. These moments not only added excitement to the week but also helped strengthen community and build confidence.
It was an unforgettable trip filled with learning, growth, and experiences that will continue to shape our sixth graders long after they return to campus.
