St. John’s Lutheran School strives to provide the best to our students. To continue that blessing, we have some wonderful events and fundraisers planned for our students and their families. Every year we have parents asking how they may complete their required PIP hours. There are so many ways to earn PIP hours, from serving at an event, to taking projects home (great for our working parents), to attending fundraisers and events. The following school and Auxiliary fundraisers WOULD NOT HAPPEN without your support, time and effort. We are forever grateful to those who bless our children with their time and love to make these awesome events happen each year.

If you see an fundraiser below that you are interested in being a part of, please contact us! Not only will you be a blessing to St. John’s, it’s students, faculty and families - you will earn PIP hours for your service. ALL EVENTS AND FUNDRAISERS ARE A PIP HOUR OPPORTUNITY.

The money collected will be donated to a specific fund determined by Student Leadership. Dates will be announced in Little Slices on Tuesdays.

Father-Daughter Dance

A wonderful night to remember for dads and daughters alike. Treat your daughter(s) to an evening of dancing, refreshments, crafts, cookies and - to top it all off - a professional photo to remember the evening. Whether your daughter is in preschool or a young lady in 8th grade, she will love an evening out with her Daddy! Contact Amanda Snyder

Golf Tournament

St. John’s Golf Tournament is held annually at a local Orange County golf course. The tournament raises money for the Athletic Boosters Club (ABC), which serves the SJLS Athletic Program. School parents, students and alumni, as well as church members and our extended St. John’s community, are all encouraged to play. The event includes an awards ceremony and dinner afterwards. Visit for more details and to register for the next event. Contact Dave Stuewe

Mother-Son Event

Calling ALL St. John’s Moms & Sons! "Bowling with the Boys" was introduced in 2017 as a fantastic way for moms to connect with their sons and have a great time. Scholastic Book Fair

Every year in 75,000 schools across the country, Scholastic Book Fairs staffers work with parents, teachers, librarians, media specialists, and  principals to connect kids to high-quality books with school-based sales. There are plenty of reasons why schools participate in this exciting reading event. The Fair chairperson receives step-by-step instructions on setting up a successful Fair. Fair committees can also get lots of help (in the form of themes, decorations, and giveaways) from Scholastic and its Fairs team. Not ready for that level of commitment? Sign up to assist the chairperson by helping to staff the Fair. Or just attend the Fair when it opens. Along with your own purchases, pick up a few items from your child’s teacher’s wish list — they’ll draw one up to let you know which Fair products would be perfect for their classroom. No matter your level of involvement, you’ll be helping to connect kids and books. There’s no better way to raise a reader. Contact Deanna Barber

Your order will contain listed brand items. Each student order comes in a sturdy cardboard briefcase with handle that can be used for saving school papers each year. Information will be sent home before the end of the school year to order for the NEXT year. Contact Sheryl Seapy

See’s Candy Fundraiser

Get your Easter basket chocolates and support our school too! There’s only one thing wrong with a See’s Candies fundraiser. You and your child will want to eat all the delicious chocolates, lollypops and candies yourselves, leaving nothing to sell. Assuming you can exercise the appropriate amount of willpower, our See’s Candies fundraiser is the perfect way for Auxiliary to raise money for the students of St. John’s. The American-made products have no added preservatives and are phenomenally tasty. See’s offers a variety of price points and products for everyone. They were founded in sunny California in 1921, and their headquarters are still here today. We’re supporting our own home-grown candy company, and raising funds doing it. Contact Claudia Jordan

Angel Bin Shoe Drive

We’ve chosen to partner with Angel Bins as an easy way for us to earn funds for our school and give back at the same time. A win-win for the students of St. John’s! The program is simple. Collect gently-used shoes (preferably no flip flops). High heels are fine. If your tennis shoes just went through a mud bath they don’t make the cut. No holes allowed. Shoes must be bagged in a Hefty-style trash bag in pairs of 25. Please pair shoes by tying laces together or with a rubber band. No tape please! Partial bag? We will take those shoes and combine with other partials and add to our total donation. Contact Andrea Calvo

Each year, Auxiliary provides a FREE t-shirt to every student with that year’s theme verse and design. In addition, you may purchase extra theme shirts (perfect for parents to wear on a school field trip), as well as a theme hooded sweatshirt. Sweatshirts may also be personalized with your student’s name or appropriate nickname on the sleeve for a small fee. Ordering information will be available at the Ice Cream Social and will go out in the school folders each parent will receive at Parent Orientations, as well as in Slices and a separate email blast. See’s Candy Fundraiser - Preschool

Get your Christmas chocolates and support our school too! Lamb’s Lot Preschool encourages our families to ask their family, friends, and co-workers to purchase See’s Candy in support of our wonderful preschool. This is the only fundraiser for Lamb’s Lot and 100% of the profits go directly back to the preschool. The candy will arrive at the preschool and be distributed before Christmas break. Contact Trisha Frazier
