Share Christ with our Words, Service and Resources

As we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, we cannot help but overflow with a life of service. There are abundant opportunities for us to serve others all around us. We want to help guide you on that journey, as you discover how he plans to use you as an agent of his grace and a proclaimer of the Gospel message.

…whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

and whoever wants to be first must be your slave — just as

the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,

and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Matt. 20:26-28 NIV

Please scroll down for a sampling of the outreach opportunities at SJLS. Many of our outreach projects are supported through Chapel Offerings collected each week. Those individual projects are chosen by the Administration and SJLS Student Leadership Team. Information is sent out in the school newsletter "Little Slices" on Tuesdays. Chapel Baptism

Once a year, St. John’s provides the opportunity for any student who hasn’t been baptized to experience the blessing of holy baptism during a special school chapel service. This is an incredibly meaningful morning for both the participant and the family, as well as the students and faculty watching. In the past, we have even had family members baptized alongside the student! Auxiliary provides a gift for each person baptized and hosts a reception afterward to celebrate. Contact Jen Stoehr

Chapel Offerings

Each month, offerings collected from our school chapel services will go to benefit a worthy cause. St. John's students have supported school projects, local and worldwide charities, and much more.

Moms In Prayer

Please join us as we gather together weekly to pray for our children, our school, and the world we live in. Moms In Prayer meets every Thursday from 8:30-9:30am during the school year. Contact Katrina DuPree

Operation Christmas Child

The amazing journey of a shoebox gift begins with you and results in evangelism, discipleship, and multiplication. Since 1970,Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. During chapel in mid-November, St. John’s students will come together and collect over 1000 shoeboxes for children around the world. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 tells us to “never tire of doing good.” Samaritan’s Purse does good, in the name of Jesus, all throughout the world.

VIP Day celebrates those very special people in our student’s lives. Students are encouraged to invite a parent, grandparent, family member or other VIP. Enjoy special activities and CONNECT in worship with each other in special chapel services for students and VIP’s. Sorry, we are unable to accommodate little siblings on VIP Day. Please arrange for childcare.
