Sharing Christ with our Actions

St. John's students are given the opportunity to explore and express their creativity through music, art and theater. Experiences are offered beginning in preschool and their skills are developed and built on year after year. These musical presentations are designed to share God's truth and stories from the bible through word and song.

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!

Psalm 96:1

Kindergarten presents an end-of-the-year closing program to celebrate as they share some memories about what they learned throughout the year. Other end-of-year presentations include the Barnyard Moosical for first grade (celebrating all creatures in God's creation) and a very festive second grade patriotic musical. Fifth grade presents a musical in May to tell others about God in new and exciting ways. Eighth grade presents a new, original musical each year to celebrate their experience at St. John's and thank God for our blessings. Kindergarten and first grades have a special Christmas presentation teaching the Christmas story - over 150 students in full costume praising the Lord! Students in grades K-8 participate in readings and presentations through school chapel, Advent and Lenten services, and some very creative opportunities in the classroom setting.
